We regularly release updates for the BeNext Gateway to ensure the safety and reliability of the BeNext system. Usually, you will not notice these updates because these are done automatically.
The reason why you see the message mentioned above is that your Gateway is behind on several updates. Usually, this is because your Gateway has not been connected to the internet for some time. Without regular updates, it is not possible for us to support your Gateway as part of the larger BeNext system.
To be clear: We are not stopping our BeNext services, nor the support for the Gateway. This important update will be a one-time occurrence to ensure you will be able to use your Gateway after January 1st, 2020.
How do I update my Gateway?
- Make sure your Gateway is connected to the internet. Wait until the indicator light on the Gateway is a solid green colour.
- Log in to your account: https://benext.eu/login
- When logged in, you will see a message telling you your gateway is outdated. You can click the link in the message to start the update.
- Follow the instructions on the next page. The update process is fully automatic and will last about 5 minutes.
It’s past January 1st, what can I do?
Please contact us via email@example.com or create a support ticket on this page and ask for the possibilities. If you contact us, please provide the MAC-address of the Gateway in question. You can find the MAC-address on the label on the bottom of the Gateway.
